Robert Fox DVM - Owner
Dr. Fox graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983 and began working on the North Shore. He opened Fox Animal Hospital in April, 1998 and loves living and working in the Evanston community. His wife Joan, also an animal lover, has been a solid supporter of the hospital. Claire and Emily, the Foxes' two Great Danes shown in the photo, played an integral part in the advertising of Fox Animal Hospital when it first opened. They attracted a lot of attention walking around Evanston with the Foxes! Tragically, Emily lost her life due to bone cancer in October, 2004 at only 7.5yrs old. Claire lived amazingly to nearly 12 years old before a neurological disorder ended her life in October, 2006. Rounding out the family are five cats: three Scottish Folds,(John Dominick, John Luke, John Robert) and two good old shelter adoptees Odie and Petey. Other than work, Dr. Fox enjoys attending veterinary continuing education meetings, playing guitar, movies, sports, (watching of course), and overseas travel.
