Not every pet lives the same lifestyle so we develop a personalized vaccine schedule for each pet using the most current data available pertaining to vaccinations and their duration of immunity. |

General Surgery/Anesthesia
Our surgical suite and anesthetic protocols are designed to provide the utmost comfort and safety for our patients. The surgical table has a heated surface which helps maintain body temperature during procedures. Anesthetic protocols are based on the most current recommendations and utilize both pre and post operative pain management. Our suite is equipped with modern equipment to monitor your pet’s vitals during anesthesia, i.e. ECG, heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen content (pulse oximetry). For safety assurances, all pets undergoing anesthesia must have blood tests prior to the procedure. |

Pain Management Programs
We do everything possible to minimize pain in our patients. Pain medication is administered prior to surgery to reduce post operative discomfort. Post operative pain management is continued using injectable medication in the hospital. If appropriate, oral medication is dispensed upon discharge for home administration. For our arthritic patients, we tailor specific protocols to make them as comfortable as possible. |

Radiography
Our modern machine allows us to safely take radiographs for diagnostic purposes. Special procedures using dyes or contrast materials can also be performed. |

Dentistry
Good oral health is essential to the overall well being of your pet. It has been shown that good dental hygiene can add years of life to your pet. Our dental equipment is equivalent to that used on people. We perform professional dental cleanings and extractions. Our patients are referred to a veterinary dentist when more extensive procedures are indicated. |

On-Site Laboratory
Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform a wide variety of diagnostic tests. The on-site availability of test results facilitates proper diagnosis and early treatment your pet’s illness. For more specialized tests, samples are submitted to an outside veterinary-specific laboratory. |

Pharmacy
Most of the medications that we use to treat our patients are available in our pharmacy. We use a veterinary-specific on-line pharmacist for special medications or medications in alternative formulations such as flavored liquid or trans-dermal preparations. We also carry a complete line of heartworm preventatives, flea and tick control medicine, medicated shampoos, dental products and products for joint health. |

Nutritional Counseling
We offer diet recommendations on how to maintain optimum body weight and condition. We offer a complete line of specialized diets from companies like Hill’s, Eukanuba, IVD and Purina which may be recommended in the treatment for ceratin medical conditions. |

Behavioral Counseling
Sometimes our pets do not behave as we would like. We can help get to the root of the problem and offer treatment options. |

Boarding For Cats
Due to local zoning regulations, we can only board cats. For our dog clients, we have a list of kennels and personal pet sitters available. |

Grooming/Bathing
We offer grooming in special cases when a pet will not allow a professional groomer to work on them. We do bathing in cases that need a medicated treatment. For routine services, we can provide you with a referral list of professional groomers in the area. |

Referral Service To Specialists
Like human medicine, veterinary medicine has evolved to where doctors have chosen to limit their area of expertise to a particular specialty. Our hospital is located near many specialty practices. We facilitate referrals to these specialists as needed.
