To respect our clients' time, office hours are by appointment only. However, emergencies will be accommodated at anytime during regular business hours.

Pre-Surgical Policy
We require that you withhold food from your pet starting at 9:00pm the night before surgery. Access to water is okay. For your pet’s safety, it is our policy is to perform pre-anesthetic blood work on every patient.. The test may either be done several days before the procedure date by our outside lab or on the morning of the procedure in our in-house lab.

Overnight Patients
If your pet requires hospitalization for treatment, we want you to know that the hospital is not staffed overnight. However, we would never leave a pet unattended if we felt it needed close supervision. In such cases, we recommend transfer to the local emergency clinic for overnight care.

After-Hours Emergency Policy
When the hospital is closed, we utilize the services of a local emergency clinic (Animal 911). They are dedicated to the practice of emergency medicine. Our telephone answer service gives the phone number of the emergency clinic, which is (847) 673-9110. They are located at 3735 W. Dempster in Skokie, which is ten minutes or less from our hospital.
